So many eggs, so little time ...

It is a late night here in the cat house.  We all got a late start resulting in a late night.  Some cats are night 'owls', but not mine.  They are sacked out around me waiting for me to go to bed.  Just had to make a post!

I created this cutie for a Mary's Bunny Challenge week at Cardz TV.  Got my new Stretch Your Imagination cart in today and put it to use right away on this card.
I just love that green floral background paper.  Don't know where or when I picked that up, but I am loving that.  Wish I had a whole boat load of that.  It is perfect for springy or garden cards.  Will have to be on the lookout for something similar.

Merci

Hello again and Happy Wednesday,

I love the clean colors of Blue, Yellow and White.  Those are the colors of this next little card.

I tried something new on this card.  I colored the heart above Merci with a pen.  It still allows the glitter to show through.  That is pretty cool, huh?  Another thing, on the Asters since there is now shadow feature on this card I made my own shadow by cutting the Aster singly and layering behind the Aster border found on the Bonus button.

Guess what???? ...... I finally broke another cart to use ... Yippee!!

Hobby Lobby Haul 3-22-11

Yesterday (3-22), Mom and I went to Hobby Lobby.  They are having a sale (50% off on Easter crafts and Scrapbooking embellishments, paper, etc.).  Everything in this picture was 50% off.  There is a 4 pack of glitter glue with fine tip (WooHoo!), felt flowers with embellies, wooden embellies, and more.  The Easter eggs in the long packs are like those by Jolie; I bought the last two packages on this one.  I was hoping to increase my brad and rhinestone stash.  Only brads that I did not have were the pastels in round so I picked these up too.  Rhinestone stock was depleted a bit.  I was wanting some colored rhinestones in multi-packs.  Only one was available and was the colors I have plenty of.  Hopefully I will be able to increase this at the Joann's sale this weekend with my 25% off entire purchase (including sale items).

Well it is time to get back to crafting!

Playing with frogs

Good morning my friends,

One of the first items I made with my Cricut was the Create a Critter frog.  My DH immediately wanted it and named him Desmond.  Well, I made several frogs for Valentine cards.  He asked that I make his Valentine with a frog too.  He named that one Raymond.  Sunday I was fooling around with the Paisley cart and made a few more frogs.  Here are the results.
This first batch are Kyle (green) and Milton (spotty).  Kyle is the name DH came up with.  I named the other frog Milton because he was such a snazzy dresser.

These two are Bella and princess Cecelia.  I came up with the name Bella (she has pink glitter glue on her tummy).  And then there is princess Cecelia (DH named her) with her golden glittered crown.  He laughed like crazy over Cecelia's arms being flung wide.

Design details:
Kyle (1st frog)
CS - Black, medium green and medium blue (The Paper Company)
PP - Blue/brown/green stripe (DCWV Spring Stack)
Milton (2nd frog)
CS - Black (The Paper Company)
PP - Blue/brown/green stripe and circle with stars (DCWV Spring Stack)
Bella (3rd frog)
CS - Medium pink (The Paper Company)
PP - Lime Funky Swirls (Making Memories) and Pink stripe and dots (Colorbok Pastel Garden)
Pink glitter glue (Studio G)
All three above created with Paisley (pg 36) cut at 3"
Princess Cecelia (4th frog)

PP - Pink dots and Green dots (Colorbok - Pastel Garden)
GP - Gold (DCWV Flower Shower Glitter Mat Stack)
Paisley (pg 35) cut at 3"
Adhesive for all ATG (Scotch) and 2 Way Glue (Zig - EK Success)
 Too much fun!!!

Happy Helpers...well maybe not so much help!!!

I wanted to share my fur-babies from this past weekend.  I had opened the window in the office and it was quite the attraction for my trio of felines.  Here are a few pics.

This first pic if of Zach (left) and Lucy (right).  They are certainly bird-watching when Mom is not wanting them to post for a pic.
This pic is of Sophie (on top of table) and Zach (below table).  Sophie is my 'Q' girl.  When she swishes her tail it is always has a curl in the top.  Funniest thing I have seen.

This is baby Lu (short for Lucy).  She is her daddy's favorite sleeping partner ... other than mom that is.  She was raised with lots of handling and snuggling.  I think that is why she loves to curl up with just about anyone.

Thanks for taking the time to view my babies.

Blessings and happy crafting ...

Your Stripes are Showing!!!

Happy Monday!!

Here is a cutie that I made for a friend this weekend.  I have had the Zebra made for a while.  When I make cuts I usually make several at a time and get them ready for other projects.  This is a great way for me to stay inspired for card making.  Also I can usually get three to six images cut from an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of card stock.

Here is the sentiment I put on the inside:
Your stripes are showing;
You are positively glowing!
It must be because you
   are on the right track,
And the Hot Cocoa Cuties
   have your back.

Deer bookmarks

This week I finished up some 'Deer' bookmarks for my mother's AWANA group.  They had a sleepover.  The theme for the sleepover was salvation and sharing Christ.  The girls made salvation braclets and shared a  skit about the salvation story.  There was much more fun to be had by the girls (21) and the leaders (9).  Mom had me make these cute bookmarks with verses that went along with the salvation theme and I threw a few in about the Christian journey.  Here is a pic of the two color-ways I used.
I entered this in K Andrews Simply Sundays All a Flutter

Look at those 'Lovely Legs!!!'

I had so much fun helping the cutie come to life!!!  This is made for a friend who is in a weight loss challenge with me and others.  Last week our challenge of the week was to work on our 'Lovely Legs!'  This card was made for the winner of said challenge.  I hope she will giggle as much as I have while making this card.

Design details:
Card stock - white, black, medium pink, medium purple, dark purple and violet (The Paper Company); teal (from stash)
Patterned paper - Swirls (Renae Lindgren for Creative Imaginations)

She is just the cutest thing.  DH has not yet named this cutie (he makes up names for all of my critters ... heehee).

Until next time,

This was created by Mom.  She was playing around with the foam sticker hearts.  We purchased them from JoAnn's.

My sister, Beverly, Mom and myself had a great time working on the examples.  Mom has not really been interested in scrap booking or card making until that day.  She wants me to make up some of the 'critters' and let her make her own cards.  Mom would have a great time of it.

That is all for now.  I will have to re-create some of the cute cards that I did not have time to snap a shot of before mailing.  Will be working on that for the next week or so.

Blessings and Happy Scrapping!!!
