Don't you just love those hearts on her dress.  Although the picture doesn't not show it very well, I used Opal Glitter glue on her dress and crown.  Below is her dashing 'prince.'

His crown is blinged up with Pineapple Glitter glue.  He had to have some bling too.

They are quite the pair!

Blossoming Birdhouse

Well it is time for another great challenge at Paper Crafting Journey.  Challenge 11 is Favorite Technique.  I have so many I love to use it was hard to channel just one technique.
I chose to highlight Birdhouse from Limited Runs Digi's.  I really like the style of their stamps.

The favorite techniques I used this week were dry embossing (green mat is embossed with vines), glitter highlights (on blossoms) and inking (on green mats inside and out).

Beary Sweet Get Well Wishes

Hello again blogger,

This week at Paper Crafting Journey (Challenge 10) we are making sweet Get Well cards ... I like to have plenty of these on hand.  The images used on this card are from Meljen's Designs.  These are some of my faves.   The winner of Challenge 10 at Paper Crafting Journey will receive 4 digi stamps of their choice.  There are lots of charming stamps at Meljen's Designs.

This sweet little bear is called Sick Little Bear and can be found here.  He is so adorable.  He needs a cup of honey tea to help him feel better.

I chose to make an easel card.  I like this type of card because the front and inside sentiment are visible at the same time.

At the top behind the ribbon I punched the Upper Crust Edge on both sides of the paper to create a border for the ribbon.
For the base of this card I punched several pieces of cardstock with the Upper Crust Edge and layered them
for more interest.

Design details:
Size:  A2
CS:  White, kraft, brown, tan and medium blue (The Paper Company)
PP:  Brown/blue plaid (unknown)
Fibers:  Brown two-tone (Bazzill Monochromatic)
Color medium:  Colored pencils (Crayola)
Tools:  Upper Crust Edge Punch (Fiskars)
Adhesive:  ATG Gun (Scotch)

Stop by Paper Crafting Journey for more examples of this weeks challenge.  Be sure to check out the other design team member's blogs.

Sunnier Days

It is a beautiful Good Friday.  The sun is shining brightly and the birds are chirping outside my craft window.  The kitties can't decide which window to watch from this beautiful day.  Well I will start off with pics of Lucy.  She is the baby of the kitties.  She is also the smallest of the three and the only calico.  I was getting rid of some clutter (spring cleaning, ya' know) and she decided to play in the box of tissue paper that I was trying to organize.

"Mom do you have to keep taking my picture."  She was a bit challenged by all the flashes.
I was trying to get a sheet of tissue out of the box and Lucy just had a fit.  In this pic we are at an impass.  I can't get tissue and she can't get rid of me.  This next pic is Lucy watching me from a totally cleared out box.  "Mom, I am so glad we get that tissue squared away."  Me too Lucy!

How about a card?  This was a quickie today.  I already had the little umbrella cut and assembled.  I used paper from my stash for this card.  Other areas of our country are praying that NO MORE rain comes their way.  Here in North Texas we are experiencing lots of wildfires.  Some areas are praying for MORE rain.  This card voices that sentiment.  This is also in celebration of Earth Day.
Design details:
Size:  A2 - Easel card
CS:  White, medium green, medium pink and yellow (The Paper Company)
Pastel yellow (Colorbok - Pastel Pak)
PP:  Orange/Yellow shaded and White/Orange shaded (GCD Studios - Spring All Over)
Rainbows, rain, green/white linen and rain tag (DCWV - Flower Shower stack)
Color Medium:  Green LePen (Marvy, this is really old), 1.0mm Black Energel (Pentel) and
                         White medium Gelly Roll
Font:  Papyrus (Microsoft)
Tool:  Corner Rounder (Marvy Uchida)
Adhesives:  ATG and foam tape (Scotch), 2 Way Glue (Zig - EK Success) and Xyron 150 (Xyron)
Create a Critter - Umbrella (pg 31) cut at 3"
Create a Critter - Butterfly (pg 64) cut at 1-1/2"
Create a Critter - Flower Trio (pg 69) cut at 2"

This card is entered in the following challenges:
Paper Playtime #43 - Weather
365 Cards Day 46 - Easel Card
PSR Random Amusing #10 - Earth Day

Easter Fun!

I have been having a great time playing with paper the last few days.  Here are a few more of my Easter creations.  I'll start with the Easter Lambs.  I made this in several different color combos.  Was just too much fun.  I am enjoying my new edger punch, Fancy Flight by EK Success.  I used it here to punch both sides of the paper for a great lace look.  The ribbon was a Hobby Lobby find.  I got a ton of different colors and patterns when they went on sale for 50% off.  Just perfect for cards and scrapbooking.  The cute little flowers on top of the card is from a set of foam glitter stickers that I found at our local Dollar Store.  I got different color packs and wish I had gotten more.  There were eight small stickers in two colors, five medium stickers in two different colors and four large stickers in a single color.  I think this was a steal at $1.00/package.

The next cutie I also made in several in different colors.  Unfortunately I only got a pic of this one.  This is the first time I have used this cut from Create A Critter.

Next are more of my Easter Baskets.  These are a little different from the first basket I showed earlier this week.  The difference is how I used the baskets this time.  I cut two baskets for each card, adhered the first basket directly to the paper, positioned the eggs and then adhered the top basket with foam tape.  Another thing that is different is that I cut the handle from the top basket.  I was much easier to use the foam tape.  I also added a 'blinged' flower.  The egg and flower stickers were also Hobby Lobby finds.  The center egg in each of these baskets has 'bling' and embellishments.  I got a pack of eight with four mini flowers for $1.00.  I also got the other egg stickers at Hobby Lobby for $0.70/pack.  There are 32 glittered stickers per package.
Everytime I turned around to do something on the computer Zach was up on the craft table.  He just loves to lounge on top of my paper and die-cuts.  Here is a pick of him doing just that.
He doesn't look so innocent here.  In the next pic he is starting to lay his head down.  Even thought I take a ton of pics of him he is still weary of the camera ... especially if the flash is operating.

This last pic is of Zach-In-The-Box.  DH was unloading boxes and Zach took the opportunity to jump into a box.  He was asked to vacate the box so DH could move it to the garage.
Isn't he just the cutest.  I do have two other kitties.  They are usually not around when I am crafting.  Lucy was taking a nap in the living room and Sophie was on the master bed.  Usually I have to move Lucy from the top of the printer.  She is our 'copy cat.'  Lucy regularly makes blank copies or turns off the printer altogether.  I will try to get some pics of the girls so I can show them to you all.

Here are the other design details on the cards:
Size:  A2
CS:  White, black, blue, pink, lilac, medium pink, light green, medium green, light gray, yellow and orange (The Paper Company) and Light yellow (Colorbok - Pastel Pack)
PP:  Bunnies, Eggs, Dots and Easter collage (DCWV Spring stack), Green dots and pink stripe (Colorbok - Pastel Garden) and Green flowers (MOD)
Stickers:  Eggs and flowers with bling (Hobby Lobby) and foam flower stickers (Dollar Store)
Fibers:  Flower ribbon (Hobby Lobby)
Tools:  Fancy Flight Edger Punch (EK Success)
Adhesives:  ATG and foam tape (Scotch) and 2 Way Glue (Zig - EK Success)
Create a Critter Chick and Egg (pg 53) cut at 2-1/2"
Create a Critter Basket (pg 26) cut at 3"
Create a Critter Lamb (pg 71) cut at 2-1/2"

Some Bunny Loves You!

It is a wonderful day!  Although it is a bit windy, the sun is shining brightly and the birds are singing outside my craft room window.  Have been busy in the craft room last night and today.  The papers in this project just remind me of spring.  I love pastels and white, they are fresh and clean.

Going Wild!!!

Hello Blogger,

It is early morning ... or late night, however you want to look at it (Thursday morn 2:21 am).   Was thinking of this card at my desk before making dinner on Wednesday evening.  Just about had all the planning done when the timer went off on dinner.  One thing lead to another and I did not get back to my creative desk until almost 1 am.  I am typically a night owl.  Final finished this little cutie in about 1 hour after sitting back down.
I sure hope you enjoy him as much as I have enjoyed making him.
He is a 'WILD ONE'!!!  I love the bright colors.  Seems appropriate since things are beginning to bloom.  Love that sombrero ... it just SCREAMS summer celebrations!!!

Puppy Hugs!

It's me again.  I have a real cutie here.  This is for my Aunt Sister and her little dog Chico.  The image on this card looks like Chico.  I know it will make my Aunt Sister smile.  She loves her little buddy.  I try to send her a card and letter weekly.  Please pray for her.  She has been feeling a little poorly this week.  Her 90th birthday is coming in August this year.   On to her card ...
