Hello Sunshine

Happy Friday!
It’s snowing!!!  The snow started around 9 AM and is going strong.  It was so heavy that I couldn’t see my neighbor’s house across the street.  Thank goodness I and my loved ones are all home safe and sound.  Hopefully, DH will not have to drive tonight as we are expecting rain, freezing rain and sleet.

Since I am snowed in I decided to play at the craft table for a while.  Although it is bright outside I am wishing for sunshine … and warmth … hence the card.

I played around with my new Hello You Thinlits.  They add such an impact for so little effort.  I measured each thinlit to get exact amount of paper needed to cut out each phrase.  Here are the results:
     Happy – 2” x 4.5”                    Hello – 2” x 3.5”
     Thanks – 2” x 5”                     You – 2” x 3”
Here are the details (all products Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise stated):
Stamp sets: Crazy About You
Paper:  Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White and All Abloom DSP Stack
Ink:  Strawberry Slush
Misc:  Circles Collection Framelits, Hello You Thinlits and Stampin’ Dimensionals

This card is entered in the following challenges:

Pray without ceasing

It's me again!

I have another page to share from my Scripture Art Journal.  This week our verse was 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ... "Pray without ceasing."  I love this verse.  It tells us what we are to be doing with our time ... very to the point.

This font is handwritten.  I had a terrible time with the pen on this one, but that is all part of it being and art journal ... to show your progress along the way.

Items used were:
Stamp set:  Work of Art
Ink:  Strawberry Slush and Tempting Turquoise
Pen:  Bic Black 1.6mm

The inks used were TOO bright with the first stamping, so I stamped off on scratch paper first and then applied to the journal page.  I really like the effect.

I love how the Work of Art swoosh can be used to make a circle.  This kind of looks like a Wedding Ring Quilt and shows the benefits of a prayer group with the unbroken chain of prayers.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.  Please leave a message so I know you where here for a visit.

Blessings and Happy Crafting,
Belinda

Trust in the LORD ...

Hello again Crafters,

I finally got photos of my latest pages in my Scripture Art Journal.  Here is my page for with week of January 11, 2015.

I used many different fonts on this week's entry.  I really don't draw very well, but do enjoy working with fonts.  All fonts on this page were hand written or drawn by me with the exception of the ampersand, that is a stamp as is the smaller heart.

This verse is one of my favorites and have had this one memorized for quite a while.  If you are interested in this sort of thing, please join us.  On Facebook search for Hide His Word in My HeART, and request to join.  One of the admins will take care of you very quickly.  One thing about this group is that there are some prayer warriors in this group and we pray for each other.  Maymay has a wonderful outreach with this group.

Products used on this page are:
Stamp sets:  Perfect Pennants (heart) and You + Me (ampersand)
Ink:  Crumb Cake and Real Red
Markers:  Stampin' Write Markers (Baked Brown Sugar in the 2013-2015 In Color set) and Zig Memory Systems Markers
Colored Pencils:  Crayola 24 set

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.  Please leave a comment so I know that you have stopped by.

Be Mine, Valentine

Happy Friday,
Wow, where has this week gone.  I have not gotten much done this week.  Have had a low grade fever for most of the week and just a bit under the weather.  All will be will soon.  Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and I have a few Valentines to make for my loved ones.  I had great fun with the Retro Sketches sketch this week. … am going to get this one in under the wire … maybe!  Here is a picture of the outside of my card.

The stamps used on this card are from My Paper Pumpkin January Kit – “Filled with Love.”  This is a very versatile little kit.  I used half of the kit to make treats for my Monday Bible Study Fellowship classmates and then this card.  I am hoping to use more of the supplies on another card or two.  The stamp set is just too cute.  If you are interested In a Paper Pumpkin kit of your own click HERE to sign up for your very own surprise each and every month.  It is just $19.95/month and arrives each month for a 30 minute crafting respite.
Here’s a pic of the inside of my card.

I pulled out my Garden Green ink, mounted my ‘swoosh’ from Work of Art and began stamping.  This is certainly a clean and simple design.  The ‘swoosh’ makes quick work of stamping.  For my manual die-cutting element I cut out a banner with Itty Bitty Banners, stamped my greeting with Teeny Tiny Wishes added a bit of Baker’s Twine and added a little dimension with dimensionals.  I really like the effect of this quick and simple card.

Here are the details (all products Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise stated):
