Happy Thursday!
I am back at the craft desk
today. Yesterday I spent in front of or
under a fan since our A/C was out. Thank
goodness it was a cooler day (85 tops … that’s cool for Texas in July), but it
was one of the most humid day in days … ugh!
The A/C went out Monday evening and was out all day Tuesday. My furry felines had a great time running
from window to window chasing birds and squirrels. At night they slapped at geckos on the window
screens when I had the lights on … too hot to keep lights on. I am so thankful for the A/C guy that came
out to repair the A/C. Bless his heart
he had to come out twice because of a faulty part. Just a few hours after we were blissfully
cool again the A/C went out … again.
David, our A/C guy had to make the long trip back into town to get us operating
again. I am thankful for a working A/C
and the cool it produces. Well, let’s
get onto the project from the craft desk.
I decided to play around with Red,
White and Blue for this project. Can’t
celebrate in July without a little Red, White and Blue, so here is a little ‘Congrats’
card.
I pulled out the Chalk Talk
Framelits dies to make the sentiment pop off the page with some Gold Foil
paper. I added a star and some stripes
for a subtle nod to the celebration of our nation. One of the stamp sets used here was from the
Paper Pumpkin Birthday Bundle kit. I
really love those balloons. And here is an
inside view:
On the inside I added another balloon with a star and a banner for the sentiment. The red and white stripe DSP was used as the foundation for the sentiments banner. I had a lot of fun playing around with these stamps and paper choices. Although I love red, white and blue color combos, I don't play with them often.
