Snowflake Joy

Joy, joy, joy!!!  I love working with snowflake stamps, paper, embellishments, ribbon … it goes on and on.  I love the look of snow, but don’t like the cold or the results of snow turning into ice unless it is in a beverage or keeping a watermelon cold during the summer.  But, I do love my snowpeople collection, my glass/crystal snowflake ornaments and icicles.  Nothing says Christmas like icicles on a tree and a beautiful nativity.  Well, on to the card.  I had a lot of fun with this one.

BTW, I got the large snowflake brad from Office Depot about five years ago in the $1 bin.  I bought five packages and they have 20/package … what a steal!

Stamp sets:  Endless Wishes and 2014 November Paper Pumpkin-Simply Snowflake

Christmas Flourishes

It’s me again.  I am back on the Christmas train, but this is just a little different.  I made a card with Bright colors with a Christmas sentiment.  I pulled out a ‘vintage’ stamp set to play with, followed a sketch from 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown for this quick card.

Blessings in Blackberry Bliss

Hello Crafters,

The wonderful blessing of our Savior’s birth is the reason for this season of Christmas.  I love the stamp used for this card because it is the depiction of the birth of our Savior.

Although this picture seems a little ‘cloudy’, it sparkles abundantly in person.  This is the first time that I have used Iridescent Ice Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  It took me three tries to get it just right.  I am so pleased with the effect.

Misc:  Circles Collection Framelits, Iridescent Ice Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Stampin’ Dimensionals and Cuttlebug Organic Flourish Embossing Folder

Lost Lagoon Gift Card Holder and Tag

It's me again!  I have been at the crafting desk for a while today.  I just had to work on this Gift Card Holder.  It was fun playing around with the Envelope Punch Board.  I used it a lot for my corner rounding, but I don't make envelopes with it very often.  Well, on to the project ...

Here are the details:
Stamp set:  November 2014 Paper Pumpkin - Simply Snowflake
Paper:  Whisper White
Ink:  Lost Lagoon and Real Red
Misc:  Envelope Punch Board, 1/8" Real Red Taffeta, Stapler and staples

I cut my card stock to 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" and followed the directions on the Envelope Punch Board for this size.  I cut the tag 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" and placed the edge of the tag in the center of the Envelope Punch Board opening to cut the top edges.  I also rounded the corners on the bottom of the tag.  Very simple.

Yippee-Skippee! Banners

Hello Crafters,

Wow, Christmas is approaching quickly.  I am excited and overwhelmed at the same time ... how about you?  Can't decide which I want to do ... my 'Charlie Brown' tree or the tiny tree with a hundred lights ... decisions, decisions.  Instead of deciding on a tree I made a card.  This is another quick and easy card.

Here are the details:
Stamp sets:  Perfect Pennants (Wood or Clear) and Yippee-Skippee! (Wood or Clear)

Christmas Baubles Banners

Hello Crafters,

Christmas is such a ‘banner’ celebration in so many ways.  We have banners in our churches to celebrate the ‘New Born King,’ banners on our streets to celebrate the festivities of the season, and banners (ribbons) on our Christmas trees and in our decorations.  This card pays tribute to the many ‘banners’ of the season.  It is a really quick and easy card.

Stamp sets:  Perfectly You-Hostess (retired)
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, 2013-2015 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers (Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding) and Gumball Green (retired)

A Savior is Born

Hello Crafters,

The Christmas countdown has started.  If truth be told it started the week before Thanksgiving.  I enjoy the lights and colors of the season as well as the reflection as we ready for the celebration of the anniversary of our Savior’s birth.  In keeping with that I have made a Nativity card.
