Christmas Window Easel

Another fun to create card.  I struggled a bit with the tree until I decided to put the picture window in front of it.  That changed the whole look of the card.  This was inspired by a stamp from Doodlebug Home for the Holidays.  I hand cut the Christmas tree and the picture window, both are my own creations.

This card is entered into two challenges:  CARDZTV  and Tuesday Throwdown.  CARDZTV's challenge was to make a tree and Tuesday Throwdown's challenge was a Christmas in July challenge.  This card applied to both.

Here is my offering:

Happy crafting to all and to all a good night (heehee),

Hello all,

Got a late start to the day.  Am just finishing up a card.  Of course I was also attending Digi-Day at SNR Card Universe.  It was a ton of fun.  Come join us on August 28 for the next Digi-Day.  You will have a ton of fun too!

Here is the card I was working on during the Digi-Day.

Had a fun time making this one.  Lots of hand cutting though ... very relaxing.

Red Rose

Hello my friends,

Well, I have been at it again.  This time it was a commissioned card.  Yippee!!!  I really had a great time with this one.  Played around with a new digital stamp from Treehouse Stamps.  I got the Embrace Life digital stamp that had two beautiful roses included.  Ashley got my order right out and I was able to get things rolling quickly this morning.  Here is a pic of my finished card.

I also made a lined envelop.  The liner was made by positioning a smaller version of the rose stamp all-over red cs.  I also made a rose seal for the back of the envelop.

Happy Crafting,
Belinda

Red, Green and White cs - The Paper Company

Smile Mosaic

Hello bloggers,

Hope all of you had or are having a terrific Monday.  Busy, busy here in Texas.  I reorganized my paper scraps.  The larger scraps were filed in an old paper carrier and the smaller scraps are still in the paper drawer.  It sure makes things much easier when looking for just the right size element.

I made two of the same card today.  Both are pink, green and white.  The challenge was a mosaic look.  Check out Tuesday Throwndown and Card Patterns.  Here is my take on their challenges.  Here is a pic of CP#72.

I really enjoyed making these cards and they actually went quite fast once I got the measurements figured out.  I think I will do these again.
Happy Crafting,
Belinda

Hooray! Cupcake

Hello All!

What a beautiful day we had today.  It was wonderfully sunny most of the day and then we had a POP up thunderstorm!  Lots of thunder *BOOM* and lightning!  Almost lost the power.  Thank goodness we did not.  It was too muggy to be without A/C.

I have a new creation.  Although it is a little late for July 4th, it is for my mother's friend who is a 'firecracker' baby.    I also made it for two challenges:  For Fun Challenges and Paper Cutz Challenge #48.  These challenges were for patriotic card or July 4th craft project using digital, hand stamped or Cricut cut image. Oh, the cupcake image is from Treeshouse Stamps.  Stop by they have some really cute digis.  Enjoy!

Just stopping by for a visit ...

While I was posting my latest card creation I had a visitor to my craft table sneak in ... Zach a.k.a. Bubbe.
He and his sisters (Sophie and Lucy) jockey for room on the craft table while I am there.  They are quickly moved to a chair which is strategically placed beside me while crafting.  With all the sharp tools and many pointy objects on the table I worry about them getting hurt while jumping up on the table or down from the file cabinet to the left of the table (off picture).  Do you see the mat under Bubbe?  That's my Creative Memories cutting mat.  I know what he is thinking, "Mom, did you think I would curl up on a bare table?"

I think I will let him 'sleep' there for a while.  I have some calls to make and dust to stir.

Happy crafting!
Belinda

Glisten

Hello all,

Hope you had a wonderful 4th.  It was quiet here.  Had quite a bit of rain on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday was bright and sunny.

Several blogs are having Christmas in July.  CARDZ TV is one such blog (one of my favs, see button on sidebar).  Unscripted Sketches is another blog with Christmas in July.  They are having something everyday in the month of July.  Head on over and check them out.  I mentioned these two because the card below fits with both challenges.  Unscripted Sketches Bonus Christmas in July #1 was the pattern used for this card along with CARDZ TV's color combo (pink, red, green, white and black ONLY).

SS Lollipop

When I was browsing the available challenges for this past week, I found the Paper Playtime #5 challenge: Ahoy Matey.  The words to "The Good Ship Lollipop" began buzzing around in my head.  Although the only thing Ahoy Matey and "The Good Ship Lollipop" have in common is a ship I decided to create a card ... what else does one do in these cases?  Here are the results.

Materials used:
CS: White, Ivory (The Paper Company)
PP: Blue Speckled (Bo Bunny Press), Gold Marble, Two-tone Yellow Dot, Purple Dot, Brown and Pink Cardstock (paper stash), Pastel Stripe (DCWV - The Spring Stack)
Chalk: Blue, Dark Blue, Gray, White, Mustard and Brown (Inkadinkado)
Pen: Pure Pink Writer (Zig - EK Success), Black Pen - unknown
Stickers: Peppermint (PSX)
Glitter Glue: Opal (JoAnn Craft Essentials)
Fonts: First Grader (WSI-Font Collection, W.S.I.) and Arial Narrow (The Monotype Corporation)
Adhesive: 2 Way Glue (Zig - EK Success)
Words to "The Good Ship Lollipop" by S. Clare - found on internet

Tools used:
Rulter: Scallop ruler (PA-620A - Déjà Views by C-Thru Ruler Company)
Computer and Printer

I hope this will end the song repeat in my head.  Hope you enjoy the card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Hugs,
Belinda
