Merry & Bright - CASE-ing Christmas

Hello Crafters,

Welcome back for another CASE-ing Christmas challenge!  This challenge will run from the 5th of each month at 6:00 am CST until the last day of the month at 11:55 pm CST.

REMINDER:  Each month, we will be celebrating CHRISTMAS on the 25th by doing a random giveaway to one lucky participant!  We will have a variety of prizes to give out, but you MUST be linked up by the 23rd of each month in order to be entered into the drawing!

This month our card to CASE is from  DT member Donna.

Here is my take on Donna's card:

I chose to flip the card to landscape and to switch the orientation of the sentiment and ribbon.  I really like the look of this card.  Turquoise and Red are one of my favorite color combinations.  I played around with a few new products:  Lighthearted Leaves (trees) and Softy Falling embossing folder.  I am really loving the Lighthearted Leaves set.  It is so versatile.  See more about the details below.

Stamp sets:  Endless Wishes and Lighthearted Leaves
Card Stock:  Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Tempting Turquoise (on envelope) and VersaMark
Misc:  Leaflet Framelits, Softly Falling TIEF, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Frosted Sequins (retired), Glue Dots and Stampin' Dimensionals

I had a lot of fun playing with these tools and making this card.  Now it is your turn to show us your take on Donna's card.  Link up with us at CASE-ing Christmas.  I will be looking for your creation.

Every Blessing with CASE-ing Christmas

Hello Crafters,

Wow, I can't believe it is already the beginning of October.  Time has been moving quickly lately.  It is time for another CASE-ing Christmas post.  Here is my take on Asha's card.
I chose to work with the colors as inspiration by using Night of Navy, Soft Sky and Gold foil and embossing.  Instead of a church I chose to use a symbol of the Magic of Season by using a scene of shepherds looking at the Christmas star.  I also chose to use the Allegro embossing folder by Cuttlebug to give the illusion of the Hallelujah chorus.  I had this card idea bouncing around in my head for weeks and it came out just as I had envisioned ... 'I love it when a plan comes together!'  Now here is Asha's card we were to CASE.

Now it is your turn to come up with a card CASE-ing Asha's lovely card.  Be sure and get your entry in by October 23rd to be included in our 'Christmas' drawing on October 25th.

Here are the details; all items are by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated:Stamp set:  Every Blessing
Paper:  Night of Navy, Soft Sky and Gold foil
Ink:  VersaMark
Misc:  Embossing Buddy, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Metallic Thread, Banner Framelits, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (Star), Allegro embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals and SNAIL adhesive

This card is entered in the following challenges:
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - #57, Fav Christmas Combo and/or Lots of Layers
Creative Knockouts - #109, Lots of Layers
Sparkle n Sprinkle - October, Anything Goes - MUST use loose Glitter, Embossing Powder, or Flocking

Thanks for stopping by for a visit and don't forget to get your cased card entered by October 23rd at CASE-ing Christmas.

You Warm My Heart - CASE-ing Christmas

Hello All:

Wow!!  It has been a while since I have posted.  This past month our home has been in topsy-turvy mode.  We moved a lot of furniture around, re-arranged cabinets, a deep clean and vacation time.  After vacation I took a week to recover and the month has flown by.

Before I post my latest creation I wanted to share with you some of my vacation.  Mom, Beverly (my sister) and I made our annual trek to Lake Conroe, more specifically Montgomery, Texas.  The day after we arrived we partook in our annual "Sister's Reunion - Birthday Celebration!"  You see four of the six sisters gathered have birthdays in August and several of our cousins also share the same month so, we celebrate them all.  Those present were my 94 year old Aunt Sister, yes that is what we call her.  My 85 year old Aunt Ouida, my Mother who celebrated her 81st birthday, my Aunt Winnie celebrating her 78th birthday and my Aunt Janice.  My Aunt Kitty was still in rehab for her recent heart surgery, but we all celebrated with her another day her 75th year.  It was a grand time.  There was some miscommunication in that we wound up with two full sheet cakes and a half sheet cake for 17 people ... "Let them eat CAKE!!!"  As with great reunions that have great cooks there was plenty of wonderful food for our gala.  We all had a terrific time celebrating and continued to do so for the remainder of the week.  Well, now it is time for a Christmas card.

This week at CASE-ing Christmas we are CASE-ing Mynn's card.  Here is my take on her card:

Here are the details on my card:
All items are Stampin' Up! products unless otherwise stated.
Stamps:  Winter Wonders (snowman) by Autumn Leaves and Sheltering Tree (sentiment)
Card stock:  Island Indigo and Whisper White
Ink:  Island Indigo, Real Red and VersaMark
Misc:  Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Banner punch, Frosted Sequins (retired), Embossing Buddy, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, D'Vine Swirls Embossing Folder by Cuttlebug, Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue and SNAIL adhesive

This was a quick and easy card to make.  I really like it when a card comes together the way it was pictured in my mind.

Now it is your turn to join in on the fun at CASE-ing Christmas #29.  We celebrate Christmas every month on the 25th with random prize drawings.  For your chance at winning create a card for the challenge and link up by the 20th.

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #28

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my first CASE-ing Christmas Challenge post as a Design Team Member.  I am very excited to be working with this wonderful design team as I have to stretch a bit and that is usually a good thing.  Each month CASE-ing Christmas Challenge will offer a card to CASE (Copy And Share Everything).  You can choose your inspiration from the offered card, it could be color, texture, design, etc.  Here is my take on this month's inspiration card:

Now here is the inspiration card from Steph:

I love Steph's design.  I love the idea of SNOW and snowflakes are right up there with snow, snowmen, glittery icicles and more.  I have a wonderful collection of snowmen, crystal icicles, glittery and handmade snowflakes.  I would keep this stuff up all year if people would not think I am crazy.  I do keep my snowmen and a few selected snow inspired items out for most of the year.  Here in Texas we don't get much snow, but we do get ice almost every year.  I usually don't venture out into either except to take a few pictures.

Here are the details of my card, all items used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated:
Stamp set:  Endless Wishes
Card Stock:  Pool Party and Whisper White
Ink:  Lost Lagoon
Misc:  Scallop Edge Punch (retired), Frosted Sequins (retired), 3/8" Lost Lagoon Stitched Satin Ribbon (retired), Snowflakes Embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue and SNAIL adhesive

Well, it is time for you to get your creation linked up.  CASE-ing Christmas Challenge is now a monthly challenge.  Our challenges run from the 5th of the month at 6:00am CST until 11:55pm CST the last day of the month.  Oh, a new feature is that we will be celebrating CHRISTMAS on the 25th of each month with a random giveaway.  We will have a variety of prizes to give out, but you MUST be linked up by the 23rd of each month in order to be entered into the drawing.  So, get your clever creation made and linked up to join in on the fun!

This card is entered into the following challenges:

"Waving" Hello

Happy Thursday!

It has been an outstanding day.  The weather is HOT as is expected in July in Texas.  There is a slight breeze although it is a bit humid these days.  It is just a wonderful summer day.

What a shock we have had with the attack on two military facilities in Tennessee.  If you are a praying person, please be in prayer for the families and friends of the fallen and injured and the surrounding areas there in Tennessee.  This is yet another eye-opener for America.

This design has been ‘floating’ around in my mind for the last three days.  I played with the ‘water’, the ‘rays of sunshine’ and more.  The flag many times; first it was too big, then too small and now I think it works quite nicely.

Here are the details:
Stamp sets:  Perfect Pennants and Work of Art (I love this set)
Card stock:  Soft Sky, All Abloom and Stacked with Love DSP stacks (retired)
Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar (retired), Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise
Misc:  Circles Collection Framelits Dies, Bermuda Bay Sequins, uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen, Multipurpose Liquid Glue and SNAIL adhesive
