Selection of Paper Pumpkin Kits

Hey, hey Crafters,

Just a few more days are left on the Paper Pumpkin sale.  If you are a NEW subscriber and you sign up before June 10, 2015 you will get 50% off your first TWO kits ... that's like 2 for 1!!! Here are some more samples of past Paper Pumpkin kits.

Seriously Amazing was the first Paper Pumpkin kit I received.

I really enjoyed working with this kit.  The die-cut panels are super.  BTW, a perk of being a Paper Pumpkin subscriber is that you can purchase past kits.

Fun Shaker card kit.  Too much fun and very creative!
I love Shaker cards and had never put one together until I received this kit.  All Shook Up was an appropriate title for this offering.  It came with nine cards and envelopes and three different sentiments:  Hello, Happy Birthday and Thank You.  The stamps for this kit are sure to be an asset to your stamp collection with three background stamps and three sentiments.

Love You Alot was a popular kit.  I just love the little bows!!!
These cute note cards and tag-like envelopes were crazy fun to work with.  This set was themed to make Mother's day, Father's day and Thank you cards.  There is so much more that can be done with this kit because of the sentiments.  I think the rope-like stamp was terrific for framing a card and adding wonderful graphic interest.

May 2015's Paper Pumpkin kit was a super duper kit.  There were bags and cards included in this Birthday Bundle kit.  There are so many possibilities with this kit.  Here is a peak of the featured projects.
The die-cut gift bag is super fun and I love the stamp set!!!
Now it is your turn to join in on the fun.  I am looking for seven NEW Paper Pumpkin subscribers.  Come join in on the fun and share your creativity with my group.

I {heart} You

T.G.I.F. Crafters,
I hope your day is getting off to a fantabulous start!!  As I am writing this at 1 AM, I am unsure of how the day will begin.  I know that rain is on the way and am thankful for that fact.  It is still very dry around here and we can always use rain here in Texas.

I have a bright card to share with you today.  The stark contrasts between Whisper White and Basic Gray are striking along with the pops of Melon Mambo and Pacific Point.  I hope you enjoy the look as much as I do.

Stamp sets:  Yippee-Skippee! (Wood #131341 or Clear #131344) and Love Language SVG digital download

Sent with Love

Are you having a 'Ruby Tuesday'?  I am so far.  I was stunned this morning to be awakened by thunder and lightning and SNOW!!!  Yes, it is snowing, sleeting and raining in the DFW area.  It may stick for a few hours in a few areas, but will be gone by Noon.

Well, I have a new little card to share.  Valentine production has started in the craft room.  I am working on getting my Valentine stash dwindled down to make room for other goodies.  Some of my stash has been around for five or more years.  I have been working with my 3 Birds on Parade cartridge.  I love those little birds.  They look so chipper and friendly.  So, here is my creation for today:

Here are the details:
Card Size:  A2 (4.25" x 5.50")
Pink mat:  4.00" x 5.25"  (cut 2x)
Patterned Paper mat:  3.75" x 5.00" (cut 2x)
Inside Sentiment Mat:  3.50" x 4.75"
Bird and Sentiment:  3 BIRDS ON PARADE, pg 71, Mailman + Mailman-s cut @ 2" + all layers using Shadow and Phrase features.
Cardstock:  Darice (Core'dinations - Ivory, Pink, Hot Pink, Black, Light blue, Medium Blue and Bright Yellow)
Patterned Paper:  DCWV (The Spring Stack)
Stickers:  Mrs. Grossman's (Happy Hearts)
Stamp:  Cardz TV Stamps (Happy Days - Happy Valentine's Day!)
Ink:  Tsukineko (Momento - Tuxedo Black)
Adhesives:  EK Success (Zig 2 Way Glue Squeeze & Roll Fine Ball Point Pen), Scotch (ATG and foam tape) and Xyron (500 Create-a-Sticker)

I am really liking the Zig 2 Way Glue Squeeze & Roll pen.  It really helps with the very  small pieces such as on the phrase.  I thought that it was going to be an oops purchase, but it really has turned into a serendipity buy.

It is off to bed with me for a few hours.  I have gotten my days and nights mixed up again.  This damp weather has me aching a lot and I just can't sleep very well.  A nice cup of chamomile tea will help a bit.

This card is entered in the following challenge:
Card Makin' Mamas - Anything Goes
Sandy's Crafty Creations - Anything Goes with a twist - use Blue and/or White

Fishy Love! - FCCB#121- Challenge Me Monday

Happy Monday,

Did you have a wonderful weekend?  Did you get to relax or did you play too much?  As usual it was another relaxing weekend here at the 'Cat House!'

This week for the 121ST Fantabulous Cricut Challenge we are celebrating "Wedding Bliss!"  In days gone by June was the wedding month.  Now, there are wedding in every month.  I have a friend who got married on Valentine's day so he would not forget his anniversary, smart man!!!

I was just not into the traditional wedding things.  So, as I pondered what to create I remembered a project that I had created with fish for a birthday card, click here to see that design.  When I am stumped I pull out old faithful, "Create A Critter."  I hope you like my Fishy Love card.

I think these seahorses are adorable.  Here's to fishy kisses!!

Recipe:
Card Size:  A2 (4.25" x 5.50")
  • Lime mat cut @ 4.125" x 5.375"
  • Turquoise mat cut @ 4" x 5.25"
  • Dotted mat cut @ 3.75" x 5.0"
  • Turquoise sentiment mat cut @ 0.75" x 3.75"
  • Dotted sentiment mat cut @ 0.625" x 3.75"
Seahorses:  CREATE A CRITTER, page 42, SeaHorse + all layers cut @ 2.75".  Second SeaHorse cut using the FLIP function.
I Love U:  CREATE A CRITTER, page 49, Koala and Balloon cut @ 1" using Phrase feature.
Paper:  The Paper Company (Orange, White, Bright Lime and Turquoise)
Patterned Paper:  DCWV (Citrus Matstack)
Accents:  Darise (5mm Paste-On Eyes), Favorite Findings (orange button from Citrus collection) and Stash (heart brads)
Fiber:  Stash (Yellow satin ribbon)
Adhesives:  Scotch (ATG and foam tape), EKSuccess (Zig 2 Way Glue Pen Fine Tip), and Glue Dots, Int'l (Ultra Thin Glue Dots)

Now it's your turn.  Create a project using the theme "Wedding Bliss" and link it back to Fantabulous Cricut.  Don't forget to stop by my design sister's blogs and give them some "Fishy Comment Love" ... we all like to have kudos in our quivers.  Here is some more Fishy inspiration ...

Love Birds

Happy Thursday Bloggie friends,

We are having another HOT one here in North Texas.  My poor a/c has been going full blast for days now.   This is the only part of Summer I don't particularly like ... high electric bills!

I was buzzing around the blogs that I follow and saw  a cutie at CardzTV and thought I would scraplift the style of card from Mary's site.  Stop by and give Mary a look-see too!  Also, I needed a card for a Bridal Shower.  This was perfect as these two kids are so sweet!

Card front
I made the title a bit larger than the 'love birds.'  Since I wanted to have a 'girl' and 'boy' in different colors, I cut this out three times.  I think it came out really cute.  The patterned paper could not have matched better.  I picked the bird colors them went on a hunt for the background papers.

A peek inside.
Since I had cut this so many times it was easy to have extra birds for the
inside too.

Here is the recipe for this cutie:
Size:  A2 (overall 5.50" x 4.25")
Birds:  STRAIGHT FROM THE NEST, pg 35, Phrase and Phrase-s, cut @ 2"
Saying:  STRAIGHT FROM THE NEST, pg 35, Phrase and Phrase-s, cut @ 2.5"
Label:  ELEGANT EDGES, pg 29, Leaves-s cut @ 3.25" using Oblong; cut @ 3.50" using Oblong and Shadow
Cardstock:  The Paper Company and Bazzill Basics Paper
Patterned Paper:  DWCV (The Sweet Shop Glitter Matstack)
Fibers:  Embellish It! by Bazzill Basics Paper (Monochromatic browns)
Ink:  Tsuneiko (Rich Cocoa - Momento)
Pen:  Sukara (White Jelly Roll)
Font:  Microsoft (Princess BTN)

This card is entered into the following challenges:
ABC Challenge - R is for Romance
The Paper Shelter - #70 Punches and or dies
Bearly Mine - #41 Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays - #74 Anything Goes

Here is my offering for Week 9.
I chose to keep it simple and sweet.  Here are the deets:

Tag base is cut from ELEGANT EDGES "Heart 2" on page 46 cut @ 4 1/2" using the Oblong feature.

CREATE A CRITTER used for Kite page 48 cut @ 3".

Cardstock is from The Paper Company.  Patterned Paper is from multi patterned page from Flower Shower stack by DCWV.

I chose to journal in my own handwriting this time.  A little crooked, but that just adds character.  The kite is adhered with pop dots for a bit of a 3D effect.

Belinda

My sister, Beverly, Mom and myself had a great time working on the examples.  Mom has not really been interested in scrap booking or card making until that day.  She wants me to make up some of the 'critters' and let her make her own cards.  Mom would have a great time of it.

That is all for now.  I will have to re-create some of the cute cards that I did not have time to snap a shot of before mailing.  Will be working on that for the next week or so.

Blessings and Happy Scrapping!!!
