'Stitched' Birthday

Well I tried a new technique on a card.  Although I am not new to stitching (I was an avid cross-stitcher), I have not used any stitching on my cards.  I really enjoyed working with thread again.  This is a simple little birthday greeting.
Design details:
Unless otherwise stated all materials are from DCWV 8x8 Birthday Scrapbook kit.
Size:  A2
CS:  White (The Paper Company), blue, yellow, red and green
PP:  Stripe
Accents:  Gift sticker and vellum happy birthday
Fiber:  972 - Deep Canary (DMC embroidery floss)
Tools:  1/8" Magic Matter (Puzzle Mates), needle (used for punching holes and sewing)
Adhesives:  ATG and foam tape (Scotch)
