My One and Only - Paper Playtime #47

Good Morning Blogger,

Happy Memorial Day!  Let me start off my honoring the Veterans among us today.  Thank you for your service to our country.  Thank you for standing up and protecting us and the USA!!!

Today at Paper Playtime we are celebrating Wedding or Love (Challenge #47) with our designs.  Each of the Paper Playtime Queens have terrific selections for your to view and be inspired to play along with us.  Be sure and stop by the other design team members blogs and show some love.

Here is a cute little Queen of Hearts and her 'One and Only love' a charming prince disguised as a Frog.  They are digis from Karber Digital Images.
Don't you just love those hearts on her dress.  Although the picture doesn't not show it very well, I used Opal Glitter glue on her dress and crown.  Below is her dashing 'prince.'

His crown is blinged up with Pineapple Glitter glue.  He had to have some bling too.

They are quite the pair!

Blossoming Birdhouse

Well it is time for another great challenge at Paper Crafting Journey.  Challenge 11 is Favorite Technique.  I have so many I love to use it was hard to channel just one technique.
I chose to highlight Birdhouse from Limited Runs Digi's.  I really like the style of their stamps.

The favorite techniques I used this week were dry embossing (green mat is embossed with vines), glitter highlights (on blossoms) and inking (on green mats inside and out).

CS:  White and Spring Green (The Paper Company)
PP:  Yellow floral (Colorbok - Pastel Garden pack)

Beary Sweet Get Well Wishes

Hello again blogger,

This week at Paper Crafting Journey (Challenge 10) we are making sweet Get Well cards ... I like to have plenty of these on hand.  The images used on this card are from Meljen's Designs.  These are some of my faves.   The winner of Challenge 10 at Paper Crafting Journey will receive 4 digi stamps of their choice.  There are lots of charming stamps at Meljen's Designs.

This sweet little bear is called Sick Little Bear and can be found here.  He is so adorable.  He needs a cup of honey tea to help him feel better.

I chose to make an easel card.  I like this type of card because the front and inside sentiment are visible at the same time.

At the top behind the ribbon I punched the Upper Crust Edge on both sides of the paper to create a border for the ribbon.
For the base of this card I punched several pieces of cardstock with the Upper Crust Edge and layered them
for more interest.

Design details:
Size:  A2
CS:  White, kraft, brown, tan and medium blue (The Paper Company)
PP:  Brown/blue plaid (unknown)
Fibers:  Brown two-tone (Bazzill Monochromatic)
Color medium:  Colored pencils (Crayola)
Tools:  Upper Crust Edge Punch (Fiskars)
Adhesive:  ATG Gun (Scotch)

Stop by Paper Crafting Journey for more examples of this weeks challenge.  Be sure to check out the other design team member's blogs.

Blessings and Happy Crafting,
Belinda

'Stitched' Birthday

Well I tried a new technique on a card.  Although I am not new to stitching (I was an avid cross-stitcher), I have not used any stitching on my cards.  I really enjoyed working with thread again.  This is a simple little birthday greeting.

Birthday Flowers

This was a quickie.  I was inspired by two things:  the 365 Cards header and a new Scrappy Cat stamp set I got a few weeks ago.  Although the picture doesn't show it the stems are also covered in light green glitter glue.
Design details:
Size: A2 (maybe a little shorter)
CS:  Yellow (DCWV 8x8 Birthday Scrapbook kit)
Stamps:  Flowers (Scrappy Cat) and Happy Birthday (My Sentiments Exactly - Birthday set)
Pigment Ink:  Pink, purple, and orange (Colorbox)
Color Medium:  Fuchsia 0.5mm Writer and Spring Green 0.5mm Writer (Zig Memory Systems)
Accents:  Jewels (Scrappy Cat), Jewels (Darice) and Light Green Glitter Glue (Hobby Lobby)

This card is entered in 365 Card - Day 50 - Inspired by header.

I think that is it for tonight.  I need to clean up my craft table and start a fresh in the morning.

Blessings and Happy Crafting,
Belinda

Another Candle!

This is another card that came mostly from my old stash.  I really enjoyed working with stickers on this card.  This is my first square card.  It is small 4 x 4, but I think the impact is huge.  This pic came out a little blue ... don't know what happened.

Design details:
Size:  4x4
CS:  White (The Paper Company) and blue (DCWV - 8x8 Birthday Scrapbook Kit)
PP:  Splats (DCWV - 8x8 Birthday Scrapbook Kit)
Accents:  Cake sticker (Birthday Sayings - Me and My Big Ideas), Soft Zig Zag sticker (Celebrate Me - Creative Imaginations), Rhinestones (Bling by EK Success) and Paper Blossoms (Making Memories)

This is such a cute card in person.  Just love the patterned paper.

This card is entered in the following challenges:
Craft Your passion #55 - Show us your layers

Another one on the way!

Celebrate!

Another creation.  I was so in the zone the last few days.  This is a masculine card with a touch of pink.
The pink is in the patterned paper on the letters P and Y.  I enjoy working with this paper.

Design details:
All materials are from DCWV 8x8 Birthday Scrapbook Kit unless otherwise stated.
Size:  A2 - used a Lime Green prefolded card (JoAnn Craft Essentials)

This is entered in 365 Card - Day 33 - Boy Oh Boy! Challenge.

More to come.

Happy Birthday! Stair Step Card
