Happy Thursday!

It has been an outstanding day.  The weather is HOT as is expected in July in Texas.  There is a slight breeze although it is a bit humid these days.  It is just a wonderful summer day. 

What a shock we have had with the attack on two military facilities in Tennessee.  If you are a praying person, please be in prayer for the families and friends of the fallen and injured and the surrounding areas there in Tennessee.  This is yet another eye-opener for America. 

This design has been ‘floating’ around in my mind for the last three days.  I played with the ‘water’, the ‘rays of sunshine’ and more.  The flag many times; first it was too big, then too small and now I think it works quite nicely.

Make a Wish in Black, Green and Red

Happy Saturday,

Here comes the sun!!!  I am getting a bright and shiny start to the weekend with tons of sun and soaking it up while it lasts.  More rain is on the way this next week.

I am currently working on a batch of card for my aunt as she doesn't get out to shop much and I love making cards.  My aunt needs more masculine cards than frilly cards.  I chose to go in a more graphic direction for this greeting.

I used a sketch from Atlantic Hearts to accomplish the graphic look of this card.

Trust in the LORD ...

Hello again Crafters,

I finally got photos of my latest pages in my Scripture Art Journal.  Here is my page for with week of January 11, 2015.

 
I used many different fonts on this week's entry.  I really don't draw very well, but do enjoy working with fonts.  All fonts on this page were hand written or drawn by me with the exception of the ampersand, that is a stamp as is the smaller heart.

This verse is one of my favorites and have had this one memorized for quite a while.  If you are interested in this sort of thing, please join us.  On Facebook search for Hide His Word in My HeART, and request to join.  One of the admins will take care of you very quickly.  One thing about this group is that there are some prayer warriors in this group and we pray for each other.  Maymay has a wonderful outreach with this group.

Hexagon Hello

Happy Wednesday!

Can’t really believe that it is already Wednesday … where did the week go!  I have been playing around at the craft desk again.  This time I pulled out my Six-Sided Sampler to play with the little hexagons.  I used one of the hexagon stamps to make a background then added a very similar patterned paper.  Enjoy my Hello card.

Christmas Art

Happy Friday,

I can't believe that this week has flown by so fast.  I guess I should say 'Happy Halloween!'  No festivities here.  My little 'Fur-Factories' (cats) are not prone to letting me dress them up.  Bubbe runs for the nearest space under the bed or the sofa to hide if I so much as think about dressing him up in anything.  Sophie would probably let me put a hat on her for maybe two minutes and Lucy would want to play with or pull at anything I might put on her.  Sophie and Bubbe are practically dressed for Halloween in that they are both Orange and White tabbies.  Lucy is also dressed for the festive day, as she is a Calico kitty with lots of black.  Well, on to the card  ...

I followed a sketch by Saturday Sketch.  This is my first time working with one of their sketches.  I really enjoyed working with this one.
