Birthday Bird

Me again.  I liked the sketch from Sketch Saturday so much that I had to make another card using the pattern.  Here it is:

I used Blender Pens to color this image.  Crumb Cake is a wonderful color for this image.

Misc:  Envelope Punch Board (#133774) and Blender Pens (#102845)

Here is a pic of Sketch Saturday's sketch:

Christmas Floral

Happy Thursday Crafters,

It is actually going to be in the 60's today.  WooHoo!!!  Weather more to my liking ... I am a summer girl.  It still feels chilly in house but that is due to the floors, I have tile flooring and it stays chilly in the autumn/winter and warm in the spring/summer.  On to the card.

I enjoy working with the Work of Art stamp set.  It is so versatile.  I like the sketch used for this card ... fun and easy to produce.  I was a bit disappointed that the Rhinestones did not look shiny in the photo.  It must be the angle of the camera or lighting.  In person the really SHINE!

Stamp set:  Work of Art (Wood #134111 or Clear #134114) and November 2014 Paper Pumpkin
Paper:  Real Red (#102482), Wild Wasabi (#108641), Whisper White (#100730) and Flowerpot DSP (#133698)
Ink:  Crushed Curry (#131173), Pear Pizzazz (#131180) and Real Red (#126949)
Misc:  Envelope Punch Board (#133774) [corner rounder] and Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246)

This card is entered in the following challenges:

Red and Green Tickets

I am really not a Red and Green type of gal when it comes to Christmas.  I lean more toward Teal/Turquoise, Pink/Mauve and Mint.  But I stretched myself and made a Red and Green Christmas card.  It helps that I have paper that is Red and/or Green.

I used more patterns than I am used to using as well.  I think it turned out pretty well.

Stamp set:  That's the Ticket (Wood #131946 or Clear #128075)
Paper:  Pear Pizzazz (#131201), Whisper White (#100730), Sweet Taffy (#133693) and Season of Style (retired)
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler (#126966) and Old Olive (#126953)
Misc:  Ticket Duo punch (#126883), Circle Collection Framelits (#130911) and Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)

Indigo Nativity

I have another Christmas card to share with you.  I really love this stamp.  It is a Nativity scene and shows the meaning of Christmas.  My mother collects Nativities.  I think that she is now up to about 20.  some are single pieces that have Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus and some are very elaborate with camels, donkeys, angels, trees and hanging stars.  I just love looking at each of her Nativities.  I hope that this card will inspire the same reaction for the recipient.

Stamp set:  Wonderful Blessings (retired)
Paper:  Smoky Slate (#131202), Whisper White (#100730) and Flowerpot (#133698)
Ink:  Island Indigo (#126986)
Misc:  Circle Collection Framelits (#130911), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246), Island Indigo Baker's Twine (##125575) and Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)

Although this stamp is no longer available through Stampin' Up!, there are several new 'Nativity' stamp sets.
Glory to the King is available in Wood Mount and Clear Mount.  Isn't is beautiful.
Gentle Peace is available in Photopolymer.  It is a wonderful stamp set that lends itself to coloring with our Blendabilities.

Petite Petal Tag

Happy Tuesday Crafters,

It is bright and sunny here in North Texas.  We are finally going to have temps above 50!! ... WooHoo!!!  Was out last night in the windy, cold weather.  I was so glad to be home after my outing.  I made me some Hot Cocoa to warm up.  Have you had 'Mexican Cocoa?'  Well, the package ... yes packaged cocoa ... had a recipe on it called 'Mexican Cocoa.'  So, I added 2 pinches of cinnamon and a drop of two of vanilla to my cocoa mix before 'zapping' ... yes I 'nuked' it!  It was delicious.  I had some this morning too.  A great way to warm up.  Well on to the card for this post.

I decided to make a 'tag' card.  I folded the cardstock as usual for a card then cut it out with a Banner Framelit die putting the fold just inside the framelit.  I really like the effect this 'tag' card has ... what do you think?

I really like this little card.  Well, it is not so little (3" x 5").  Would be perfect to add to the top of a package or send in a Medium Envelope.

Stamp set:  Endless Birthday Wishes (Photopolymer #137553) and Petite Petals (Wood #133152 or Clear #133155)
Paper:  Whisper White (#100730), Confetti Celebration (#133692) and Sweet Taffy (#133693)
Ink:  Strawberry Slush (#131178) and Tempting Turquoise (#126952)
Misc:  Banner Framelits (#132173), Petite Petal punch (#133322), Brights Candy Dots (#130931), Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine (#135637), Island Indigo Baker's Twine (#125575) and Stampin' Dimensionals(#104430)

Endless Birthday Wishes is so versatile as a stamp set.  Because the words are individual stamps you can make your own phrases.  I just love that versatility.

Moonlight Christmas

Howdy Crafty Friends,

What a day!  The weather is still playing around with my head and body.  Here in Texas the weather will change on a dime and I sure was hoping that it would do so today, but it is still damp and cold.  I guess the card I made today it a bit of a muted pallet too.

I called this one Moonlight Christmas as it is made with the Moonlight DSP stack and the November Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  This month's Paper Pumpkin also came with a Lost Lagoon Stampin' Spot.  I used these papers because the triangles reminded me of Christmas trees and the irregular dots reminded me of snow falling ... not that I have seen a ton of snow falling in my life.

Stamp set:  November Paper Pumpkin
Paper:  Lost Lagoon (#133679), Smoky Slate (#131202), Whisper White (#100730) and Moonlight DSP stack (#133701)
Ink:  Lost Lagoon (#133644)
Misc:  Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983), Squares Collection Framelits (#130921), Whisper White Baker's Twine (#124262), Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) and Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)

Snowflake Lullaby

Happy Saturday Crafters,

Another Endless Wishes card for you today.  This card is a bit of a non-traditional Christmas card.  I love pastels at Christmas.  I am a throw back to turquoise, pink and silver trees.  My Grammy loved the colors of turquoise and pink.  She had a silver foil tree.  Her vinyl sofa was turquoise.  I have her dressing table and it is painted turquoise.  When I got it there was a sheer pink skirt on the front.  I also have her antique iron bed and it too is painted turquoise.  When I re-paint I think I will go white with everything.  Oh well, let's have a look at this non-traditional Christmas card.

I love these colors together.  The picture doesn't give this card justice.

Stamp set:  Endless Wishes (#136829) and Teeny Tiny Wishes (Wood #128748 or Clear #127802)
Paper:  Smoky Slate (#131202), Whisper White (#100730) and Lullaby DSP (#133695)
Ink:  Bermuda Bay (#131171), Coastal Cabana (#131175) and Pistachio Pudding (#131177)
Misc:  Bitty Banner Framelits (#129267), Circle Collection Framelits (#130911) and Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247)

Thankful Banners

Me here again with another CAS creation.  This was super quick and easy ... other than the bows.  If I could tie bows in Baker's Twine faster it would have been SUPERSONIC quick!

I think that these banners are just adorable.  And I love Stampin' Up!'s Banner punch.  They can be used in a lot of ways.

Merry & Bright

T.G.I.F!

I can't believe it is Friday already.  My week has flown.  It has been cold and a bit dreary today, did I say cold ... brrrrrrrrr!  I need to get my thermals out as I have been freezing this last week.  It may get up to 50 tomorrow.  When is Summer coming back???

I have a wonderful little card that 'sparkles' with rhinestones.  I just love this Endless Wishes stamp set, but you know that already as I have been saying that for this past week.

This card is made by a sketch from Sunday Stamps.  I really enjoyed this set up.  Another quick and easy card.

Stamp set:  Endless Wishes (#136829)
Paper:  Old Olive (#100702) and Whisper White (#100730)
Ink:  Old Olive (#126953) and Real Red (#126949)

Blooming Thanks

Me here again.  I have another card for this evening.

This is a smaller than usual card ... 5" x 3.5".  I didn't want the tag to get lost in the card.  I got a little heavy handed on the Strawberry Slush on the Very Vanilla cardstock though.  I enjoyed working with this sketch by Sketch Saturday.

Stamp set:  Chalk Talk (Wood #130631 or Clear #130634)
Paper:  Blushing Bride (#131198), Mossy Meadow (#133670), Very Vanilla (#101650) and All Abloom DSP stack (#133703)
Ink:  Mossy Meadow (#133645), Strawberry Slush (#131178) and 2013-2015 In Color Stampin' Writer Markers (Strawberry Slush) (#131260)
Misc:  Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983) and Blushing Bride Baker's Twine (#134577) and Green ribbon is recycled for some packaging.
